
The Editor, directed by award-winning filmmaker Jillian Acreman, has been selected to screen at the Atlantic Film Festival.
The Editor went on to screen at the Island Media Arts Festival in Charlottetown in 2011 and it garnered an Award of Merit for short film at the 2011 Accolade Film and Television Awards in La Jolla, California.
The Editor is a fictional story about a retired film editor who attempts to edit out the bad parts of his life so that he can die with a clean conscience. The 16-minute drama was shot in Fredericton and Saint John with a talented New Brunswick cast, including Lex Gigeroff, Gordon Gilhuly, Elizabeth Goodyear, Sebastian MacLean, Harrison Palmer, Quentin Palmer, and E. David Strange. Original music was composed by Michael Doherty.

The Editor was produced by Columbus Avenue Pictures in association with the NB Filmmakers Cooperative, with financial support from ArtsNB through their Regional Funding Grant.
The award-winning short film, The Editor, has been selected to screen at the 31st Atlantic Film Festival in Halifax. It will screen as part of Atlantic Shorts 4 on September 18, 2011 at 7pm at the Empire Theatres Park Lane 8 (5657 Spring Garden Road). A second screening will happen on September 21, 2011 at 7:10pm at the Empire Theatres Park Lane 4.
