The 3rd Annual RBC Michelle Jackson Emerging Filmmaker Award

The award was established to assist emerging female filmmakers residing in Newfoundland and Labrador, and it was started in honour of Michelle Jackson, a young female filmmaker who passed away very suddenly in 2008.

The winner will receive close to $40,000 in cash and in-kind production services for their film, and will be mentored by award-winning director and producer Anita Reilly McGee. The winner’s film will premiere on the closing night of the 23rd Annual St. John’s International Women’s Film Festival, on October 20th, 2012, at the Arts and Culture Centre.

No Borders, Independent Film Week
New York, United states, September 16 to 20, 2012

Telefilm Canada is currently accepting market-ready narrative scripts on behalf of No Borders, Independent Film Week for its 2012 edition.

Telefilm Canada will recommend seven (7) scripts to the IFP jury in New York. Telefilm Canada will render this decision on May 22, 2012.
